I have been living here since 2013 and at first, I was too focused on my studies to see in which gem I live. But then I had a remarkable experience living in Mexico and both, Mexico and Cologne, became my chosen home.
We describe Cologne with the saying “do bes e Jeföhl” which translates to “you are a feeling”. That is exactly how you can imagine living in Cologne. It isn’t the most beautiful city, but the people with their mentality, all the small stories, the heritage, our Cologne cathedral, the offered opportunities, and obviously our Cologne carnival are exceptional. It makes it the most livable city in Germany.
