Hey I’m Steve, originally from Sydney Australia, but after searching many cities all over the world, finally found my home in Cologne.
I couldn’t tell you the exact moment I fell in love with Cologne, maybe it was while drinking at a kiosk or Brauhaus with some friends, or watching the sunset from the Rhein boulevard or perhaps even the first time I saw the Dom. Whenever it was, my love for this amazing city has only grown deeper. Sometimes I think my girlfriend is jealous of how much I talk about the Dom. The friendly (but crazy) locals, the music, the delicious beer brewed here, the openness and Carnival are just some of the reasons Cologne is how it is. Cologne might be loud, ugly and chaotic but under everything, it has a heart of gold.
I became a Freewalk tour guide because when I first arrived here I was blown away by how friendly and welcoming everyone was. I want to pass that welcoming spirit on to all visitors of Cologne, whether you come to Cologne for a day, week or for the rest of your life, I would love to be the one to welcome you in and show to you why Cologne really is the best city in the entire world.
