You’ve been bar hopping. You’ve probably done a pub crawl. But have you ever been on a Kiosk Crawl?
In Cologne, a night out doesn’t only happen in bars. It happens at the Büdchen, the city’s much-loved corner kiosks, where locals grab a cold Kölsch and spill out onto the street. Our Kiosk Crawl is a Cologne-style pub crawl built around them.
Starting in the Belgian Quarter and finishing at Zülpicher Platz, we’ll hit five different kiosks, play some games, meet new friends and share a few hidden Cologne traditions along the way. It’s Cologne’s nightlife, the way locals actually live it.

- What to bring: Clothes for the weather (we’re outdoors all night) and cash to buy your drinks at the kiosks.

- End of the tour: Zülpicher Platz, in front of Späti Köln Kiosk

Cologne is a city that knows nightlife.
We’ve got legendary breweries, famous clubs, well-worn dance floors and plenty of all-night karaoke. But if you’re after a night out you won’t find anywhere else, you need our version of a Cologne pub crawl: the Kiosk Crawl, or Kiosk Hopping, as we call it.
Some of our guides’ best stories begin, and often end, on a kiosk hop. Cologne’s kiosks, the Büdchen, are tiny corner shops found on almost every street in the city, but they’ve become much more than that: meeting points for neighbors, students, business people, parents, seniors and everyone in between. We’ll take you into their world.
What Is a Cologne-Style Pub Crawl?
It’s a pub crawl first and foremost, and the best way to get your night started. You’ll pick up a few stories along the way, but the focus is on meeting your fellow guests and enjoying some of our favorite squares, streets and parks. On the night, you can expect:
- A beer stop at five different kiosks
- Games and a few extra surprises along the way
