The Kölsch, a special kind of beer that can only be brewed in Cologne! After the Dom and Cologne’s Karneval, our brewery culture is among our biggest highlights.  On our Legendary Kölsch Tour, you’ll take a journey through Cologne’s Old Town and get to know the breweries that perfected the Kölsch and the culture that comes with it on Cologne’s version of a beer tour!

Kölsch is the lifeblood of Cologne as much as the Rhein River.  Its tradition is historic, revered and protected.  And, most importantly, it’s a fantastic beer (at least to us anyway and it’s better not to disagree with a true Kölner on this issue!).   On our beer tour through the heart of the Altstadt, we’ll visit some of Cologne’s Iconic Brauhauses where our Kölsch used to be brewed, we’ll get to know about the history of the waiters who serve the Kölsch, the glasses that it comes in, the local rules about Kölsch and give you insights and tips that you won’t find elsewhere all while tasting the best Kölsch you can find in the city.

Along the way, we’ll teach you how to brew a Kölsch, what makes it so unique, and why it is the best beer in our state without question (we’re looking at you Düsseldorf).  You’ll hear the stories that helped make Kölsch what it is today on our brewery tour and get to experience a typical night out in Cologne while we’re at it!
