Cologne is a city famous for its friendly people, its quirky attitude, and the Cologne Feeling…but it hasn’t always been that way. Cologne has a dark side, full of murder, witches, ghosts, and medieval mischief! Wanna know more about it? Then we have the tour for you!
Freewalk Cologne’s Dark Side of the Dom Tour explores what Cologne used to be like back before the city was known for Karneval and Kölsch (although those were still important!). If you’d like to know more about what day-to-day life was like in medieval times in Cologne, how the witch trials in Europe kind of started and kind of ended with Cologne, and learn even more reasons not to visit Düsseldorf then come check us out! Prepare for a journey through time from Cologne’s beginnings until the Second World War with stops all along the way as we explore Cologne’s Old Town while the sun sets. Book here!
The tour runs in English and German. Please make sure to double check the language before booking! You can also make a private booking of this tour here, if you’d like to join the tour at a different time.
If you don’t know the free tour concept, you decide what the tour is worth for you at the end of the tour!
